The Cavalhada is one of the richest manifestations of popular culture of the city of Poconé, which pays homage to St. Benedict.

Poconé city will celebrate 230 years of political and administrative independence. The city will be promoteing soccer championships, musical bands and local expositions. The event starts on Wednesday and lasts until Sunday.

Five regional and national bands animate the Carnival Caceres Folia 2011. The event includes five nights of great joy, samba, dance, sweat and relaxation.
